VENKATAGIRI
A Heritage Woven in Royal Elegance
Rooted in Venkatagiri, Andhra Pradesh, Venkatagiri sarees are celebrated for their exceptionally fine weaving, delicate zari work and timeless elegance.
Dating back over 300 years, this exquisite weaving tradition flourished under the patronage of the Velugoti dynasty, initially producing fine cotton garments for royalty before evolving into sarees cherished by queens and royal women. Known for their lightweight texture, elegant zari borders and intricate Jamdani motifs, these sarees reflect generations of exceptional craftsmanship.
Recognised as a GI of Andhra Pradesh in 2011, Venkatagiri sarees continue to preserve the region's rich weaving heritage, celebrated for their fine texture, delicate motifs and graceful drape.
Fine in weave, rich in heritage and timeless in elegance — Venkatagiri Sarees carry the legacy of Andhra Pradesh, beautifully curated by HOUSE OF SVARNAMALA.
